About
Me
My name is Kelly Verd and I live in Onalaska, WA. I have raised rabbits since 1984. My neighbors gave me my first rabbit, a Rex that I christened Leo. He was a beautiful castor color but he was always shedding. Needless to say he never won much at the shows I took him to but he was an excellent pet. Leo put up with alot. I taught him to beg for carrots and walk on a leash. He would come when called and put up with baths. I put him in our pool so much that he started to like to swim. (I think that only reason he never drowned is that Rex hair is somewhat water repellent). I finally talked my parents into letting me get Nicky, a nice broken black doe who actually won at shows. Bulldog was an old Lynx colored buck that a breeder gave me. I was hooked on Rex to this day. Later on Flemish Giants, Californians and English Lops found there way into my rabbitry.
I also have Crested, Ancona and Cayuga Ducks, Pomeranian geese, one old peacock, two goats, three horses, three dogs, and three cats.
